The 2026 Fair Season in New England with Frontier Trailers

Written by ALCOM Trailers | Jun 23, 2026 10:57:54 AM

Believe it or not, the 2026 agricultural fair season has already begun across New England. The Springfield Fair (June 11-14, 2026) kicked off the season in Maine, and like always, the season will continue through New England’s summer and fall months. As you walk through the agricultural sections of the fair this year, check out the horse and livestock trailers parked along the perimeter. Look for the star-shaped American flag logo on the sleek aluminum nose and rear ramp doors of these aluminum workhorses: Frontier Trailers are ALCOM’s all-aluminum, all-welded, made-in-the-USA horse and livestock trailers.

Frontier Trailers For Fair Exhibitors

We’ve talked with real Frontier customers before: remember the hard-working, award-winning Dadson family, who have hauled a Frontier livestock trailer all over the USA? We've talked with barrel racing champion and coach Breanna Brown, who said of Frontier Trailers: "Whatever you want in a trailer, they're going to make sure that you get it. We just want to make sure that our horses are taken care of the best, and I feel like they keep that really front of mind."

And we've spent time with skijor champions Nate True (on the skis) and Josie McAllister (on horseback), whose third teammate rides in a Frontier horse trailer on the way to every competition. Josie has trusted Frontier Trailers ever since her old steel trailer rusted clean through, leaving her standing in a hole in the floor and ready for an aluminum upgrade.

We feel like it's safe to say people love their Frontier Trailers all-aluminum horse and livestock trailers. We love them, too - and we build trailers for every member of the herd or flock. 4H families, barrel racers, hobby farmers, and many more hard-working folks can benefit from the all-aluminum construction, lighter curb weight, rust resistance and livestock-specific features of Frontier Trailers

Check out our full lineup, including lightweight Colt Series Lite, BP and Gooseneck models; the Strider Series for up to 3 horses with Lite, Bumper Pull and Gooseneck models; or the Ambassador Series for larger breeds. The Fast Track Series brings some style to the fairground racetrack. Our Livestock Series and Stock LowPro Series are built for pigs, goats, sheep or other members of the herd, and an aluminum truck topper lets you transport poultry birds safely without hauling a trailer at all - or add extra capacity while towing a bumper pull livestock trailer.

The New England Fair Schedule

If you're not exhibiting at an agricultural fair this year, you can still enjoy everything fair season has to offer, including lots of snacks, interesting exhibits and displays, livestock exhibitions and competitions, and more. Check out the upcoming Maine fair schedule and explore the rest of New England's upcoming events, too.

Maine:

For the full schedule and other resources, visit the Maine Association of Agricultural Fairs website, MaineFairs.net! Make your way around ALCOM's home state, Maine, from June through October for fair season:

New Hampshire:

Find fair listings at the New England Travel Journal. The Hopkinton State Fair is the largest in the state, rounding out the summer as an annual Labor Day tradition. The 2026 Hopkinton State Fair is scheduled for September 3-7 and marks 111 years of this New Hampshire tradition!

Massachusetts:

The biggest and best-known fair in Massachusetts is The Big E, which draws visitors from all around New England and beyond. The Big E celebrates each New England state with its own exhibition hall and lasts for 17 days. It's the biggest fair on the East Coast - but it's not the only fair in Massachusetts! Learn more about the full schedule of fairs and festivals in MA this year.

Vermont:

Fair season in Vermont starts with the Vermont Maple Festival in St. Albans each April; the Vermont Dairy Festival follows in June. Agricultural fairs in the Green Mountain State continue through the summer and into September; find a listing of the lineup here.

Rhode Island:

The Ocean State doesn't have the same assortment of agricultural fairs as its New England neighbors; instead, in Rhode Island, you can enjoy festivals like the Wickford Art Festival, Newport Dance Festival, Newport Folk Festival, and Charlestown Seafood Festival. Learn more at Meet Me At the Fair.
