Summer is coming soon and the weather in some parts of the USA is already warming up. It’s never too early to start planning your summer vacation, and a personal watercraft adventure trip can be great fun for the whole family or friend group.
Start with your hauling setup - a Triton aluminum PWC trailer built in the USA and available near you thanks to ALCOM’s wide network of dealers. If you’re traveling with a large group, you might need multiple vehicles and trailers. Don’t miss our DIY camper guide and our enclosed aluminum trailer buying guides for some inspiration! Triton Aluminum PWC Trailers
Triton Trailers by ALCOM builds a full lineup of open, all-aluminum personal watercraft trailers.

These rust-resistant, light weight trailers are specifically designed for safe PWC transport, with various models available to fit all of the different sizes and classes of jet-skis on the market. On each model, you get a fully welded frame, adjustable PWC bunks, a UV-resistant keel guard, adjustable bow stops, sealed LED lights, and tie-downs for your jet-ski. Add a spare tire carrier and tire and you’re ready to hitch on.
Which size and model trailer do you need? That will depend on the number and type of PWCs you’re loading. Check out the single, double, and quad-place options built by Triton:
1-Place Aluminum PWC Trailers: The WAVE, LT and Elite Series personal watercraft trailers are available in one-place configurations. The WAVE Series has the lightest models, designed specifically for compact PWCs like the Kawasaki® SX-RTM, Sea-Doo® SPARK®, and Yamaha® EXTM.
2-Place Aluminum PWC Trailers: Haul two PWCs at a time with the WAVE, LT, Elite, or WC2-2 Series. The LT Series trailers are designed to fit most one-, two- and three-seat personal watercraft models. The WC2-2 Series is heavy-duty, built for any one-, two- or three-seat jet-skis; this model is only available in a 2-boat configuration.
4-Place Aluminum PWC Trailers: To tow four PWCs, you need the Elite Series 4-place model, Triton’s biggest jet-ski trailer. It’s designed to fit all one-, two- and three-seat PWCs. Get the Elite Series in a 4-place configuration for your biggest group trips with any size jet-skis.

Let’s explore some of the most popular PWC getaway destinations in the United States.
Explore PWC Paradise in Florida
Florida is the USA’s most popular PWC vacation destination, with so many places to put your PWC into the water, you could spend weeks exploring the state.
In the Florida Panhandle, on the Gulf side of the state, put your PWCs into Choctawhatchee Bay for calm blue waters between Destin and Santa Rosa Beach. In the surrounding area, find golf courses, rental homes and resorts, white sand beaches, and so much more. Head west towards Pensacola or east towards Panama City to explore more of Florida’s Panhandle area.

Travel down the Gulf Coast and explore areas like Clearwater, St. Petersburg, and Tampa Bay. Further south, find Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Sanibel Island, then Naples and Marco Island. You can’t ride PWCs in the Everglades, but there’s still so much more of the state to explore! In the Florida Keys, explore the very southern tip of the USA on PWCs. On the Atlantic side of the state, in the stretch of coast that includes Miami and Fort Lauderdale, some adventurous riders even make the crossing from Florida to Bimini, Bahamas (ride 65 miles with a team of experienced skiers here). Continue up the Atlantic coast and find fun vacation destinations like Vero Beach, a beautiful spot for fishing, golf, and water sports, and Melbourne, part of the Space Coast region.
If you’re visiting Orlando-area theme parks, you'll be about an hour from the Atlantic coast beaches, but nearby lakes offer inland jet-skiing opportunities. Further north, cruise on the St. Johns River between the St. Augustine and Jacksonville areas. Find route maps on PWC Trail Finder or browse online PWC rider groups for trip recaps and route recommendations. Don't forget to review current conditions and follow all local laws and regulations.
The places to jet-ski in Florida might as well be endless - and you can find Triton Trailers dealers throughout the state, too!
Explore Lake Powell’s Canyons on PWC
Across the USA in the vast Southwest, inside the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Lake Powell straddles the border of Arizona and Utah. This is a different type of adventure than tourist-friendly Florida beach towns; Lake Powell is a reservoir on the Colorado River, and the lake itself is the main attraction. Lake Powell offers more than 90 side canyons to explore, and you can bring your own PWCs - so make a reservation at a resort or campground near one of the lake’s marinas and public access boat launches and get ready to ride for days.

Access the lake from marinas in either state, including Bullfrog Marina and Halls Crossing on the Utah side, on the north end of the reservoir, or Wahweap Marina and Antelope Point Marina in Arizona. Near each marina, you’ll find RV parks and campgrounds, with varying levels of surrounding town to explore. The population of Halls Crossing, UT, for example, is just four, but with a large on-site store and full-service marina, it offers everything you need. There’s also a first-come, first-serve ferry service to Bullfrog Marina, across the lake, where you can also find the Stanton Creek Primitive Camping Area. Speaking of primitive camping, you can do that anywhere along the shore of Lake Powell. Read about the details and rules for shoreline camping here.
The tricky thing about Lake Powell is that the water level has dropped significantly over the last 20 years, and there is no end in sight to this change pattern. Check ahead to determine which boat ramps and services are open, as the changing water level has significantly impacted access to certain parts of the lake. When you plan your trip, be mindful of all water level alerts and the current status of ramps, marinas, and scenic areas.
Don’t forget to review the personal watercraft regulations for the area. Children ages 12-17 may operate PWCs on Lake Powell if they take a certification course first; all riders must wear life jackets at all times on PWCs in the lake, and adding a helmet is recommended given some of the narrow canyons and high speeds you’ll encounter.
The PWC Capital of the World: Lake Havasu
While we’re in the Southwest, let’s zoom over to the Arizona-California border to Lake Havasu. It’s another reservoir along the Colorado River, and this boating destination is considered the PWC capital of the world. The world championships for personal watercraft riding are held annually at Lake Havasu's Body Beach, and in this year, the finals and trade show are scheduled for October 3-11, 2026. The IJSBA World Finals is an annual on-the-water competition featuring numerous divisions of personal watercraft. Some competitors will be zooming at speeds greater than 80mph; others will perform gravity-defying tricks on PWCs in the freestyle competition. These riders are the best of the best, and watching the championship and visiting the trade show could be a fun part of your Lake Havasu trip if you prefer getting out of town in the fall. Why not? The weather at the lake will still be great.

You can cruise around hundreds of miles of scenic shoreline, visit lakeside restaurants, explore beaches and hiking trails, and find resorts and camping nearby. For a unique scenic experience at Lake Havasu, tour the replica lighthouses built around the lake, including replicas of several Maine lighthouses from ALCOM's home state. These lighthouses were created for boating safety by a non-profit group, and all are real, functioning navigational aids. Viewing them from your PWC lets you combine scenic views from the Great Lakes and both coasts of the USA in one day of your vacation.
