ALCOM's Best Aluminum Racecar Trailers for You

Written by ALCOM Trailers | Oct 20, 2025 12:28:14 PM

Auto racing is a classic worldwide adrenaline sport, and in the USA, it’s been growing fast since the turn of the 21st century, with more and more Americans getting into the fun. There are many specific categories of car racing, but stock car racing is the most popular variety in the USA -- and NASCAR, born in Daytona Beach, FL in 1948, has become a cultural phenomenon. It's probably the first type of stock car racing most Americans think of; even if you don't watch the races, you've heard of some of the drivers. The Daytona 500 alone draws in more than 10 million viewers a year, earning its nickname “the Great American Race.”

If you’re not a driver, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the sport. Tune in to the races on TV, buy tickets for an event, or even take pit crew training for an exciting career path. Drivers might get started in local races, and in ALCOM’s home state of Maine, folks can head to the Wiscasset Speedway to see local stock car racing all season long. For drivers at any point in their racing career, ALCOM builds some of the best racecar trailers on the road, with practical options from basic to loaded. Start with a light weight, rust resistant all aluminum frame trailer, and you’re already off to a winning start. From a no-frills open trailer to an enclosed stacker model, ALCOM builds the aluminum car trailers our customers need.

Why Choose an Aluminum Car Trailer Over Steel?

First, let’s talk about materials. Why bother specifically searching for an aluminum racecar trailer instead of a steel model? If you’re already an ALCOM customer, you already understand: aluminum is unbeatable for weight savings and rust resistance.

At around one-third the weight of steel, with a superior strength-to-weight ratio, aluminum is a great choice for trailer construction. An aluminum-built trailer is significantly lighter than a trailer of the same size made from steel. Since your trailer’s payload is limited by your tow vehicle’s gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), or the maximum total safe weight of your tow vehicle, an aluminum car trailer maximizes payload by keeping the trailer’s curb weight low. A lighter trailer also saves wear and tear on your tow vehicle. The heavier a trailer is, the harder a tow vehicle works to pull it; this includes higher gas consumption to keep a heavy setup rolling. But a lightweight aluminum car trailer means less routine wear and tear on your tow vehicle, on the trailer's components, and on your fuel budget.

Adding to an aluminum car hauler’s durability is aluminum’s natural rust-resistant properties. Aluminum can corrode if exposed to salt, but it won’t rust, so your trailer is protected from a trailer’s worst enemy – the inevitable spread of rust, which compromises the structure of the trailer.

So when you’re preparing to haul your prized racecar to the track, think about the best way to get it there. We think you’ll find that an aluminum car trailer from ALCOM is the long-lasting choice that stands up to the elements and offers a superior value for your budget.

All-Aluminum Racecar Trailers

Let's explore the all-aluminum options ALCOM builds for hauling racecars better than ever. Start with the more basic options, like open car haulers or a no-frills enclosed model -- then take a look at options, upgrades, and our biggest, best-equipped aluminum car trailers ever: the Pinnacle Series.

Open Aluminum Car Haulers: For a Basic Trailer Built Better

To move one car with ease – while saving some of your budget for fuel and new tires – check out a single-car open aluminum car hauler. Our classic one-car hauler is available in 14’, 16’, 18’, and 20’, with standard 2” x 3” heavy wall crossmembers, 2” x 5” subframe tubing, and extruded aluminum decking. It has Dexter torsion ride axles and a 5K wheel jack, plus 6-foot stowaway loading ramps. The deck is equipped with a fixed front 2” x 2” rail and four (4) recessed 5K D-rings. If you prefer a wood deck for your open aluminum car hauler, check out the wood deck model – also available in 10K. A heat-treated wood deck and tandem axles gives you more carrying capacity with our signature all-aluminum frame construction. Customize Your Enclosed Aluminum Car Hauler

Starting with a simple, standard-options trailer might be the way to go, but if your aluminum racecar trailer budget has wiggle room, let's look at options. ALCOM has a long menu of upgrades available for every enclosed car hauler

Start by choosing the color (or two-tone color combination, with or without an anodized divider) that suits your style. Your aluminum trailer's sleek, screwless bonded side panels can match your race team's colors and they're perfect for adding branding or decals. Continue with exterior upgrades like extra, or larger, doors and windows; a 14" x 14" side fuel access door to fuel up on the go; lock and latch upgrades; or a rear canopy loading light system. Upgrade your trailer's axles, wheels, and tires for extra carrying capacity, or add extra height in 3" increments.

With your exterior options selected, don't forget to make the interior racecar ready! Choose optional interior cabinet packages; power and light packages; race fuel holders; wall or ceiling hooks; drive-over fender kits; a partition wall; taller kick panels; and more. For a racetrack-ready trailer, don't forget to upgrade to black-and-white checkerboard vinyl flooring.

The Pinnacle Series: Ultimate Aluminum Racecar Hauling

If you'd rather skip the upgrade menu and choose an aluminum racecar trailer that's already decked out with ALCOM's favorite options, the Pinnacle Series Enclosed Car Haulers are for you. They're the most premium, loaded car haulers we build, and they're 8.5' wide for plenty of cargo room. The Pinnacle Series comes in 20' to 32', while the Pinnacle Stacker Series is available in 20' or 24. Both models are built from ALCOM's signature welded all-aluminum construction, with smooth, screwless side panels; a flat front with cast corners; a one-piece aluminum roof; Dexter torsion ride axles; and a heavy-duty rear ramp with spring assist, plus hidden beavertail construction for better loading.

Standard features are anything but basic for the Pinnacle Series. Your trailer includes a 5000-lb. center wheel jack and drop-down rear corner jacks; premium hardware including aluminum ramp hinges and freezer latch system for ramp door; a roof vent; base and top rail trim, interior cove trim, and extruded kick panel. It has a rear canopy with LED loading lights and (2) exterior K60 LED scene lights. For trailer access, it has a 6' x 8' Elite Escape Door with a removable fender and butterfly latch system, and a side access door with a pull-out step and LED porch light.

Inside, it has rubber TPO decking for the trailer and ramp, with (4) 6K HD recessed swivel D-rings to secure your racecar. There are 20 interior LED puck lights plus ALCOM's 100V power package #5, which includes a 60A breaker panel with a converter and motorbase plug, receptacles including USB and GFCI, and wall switches. You also get a built-in cabinet package for ultimate organization: a wardrobe, base, and overhead cabinet are included.

The Pinnacle Stacker Series also includes a 14' 6K Titan lift with split rail design and a loft (4' loft for the 20' model trailer; 6' for the 24' model trailer). The lift allows you to fit more cargo and gear inside the trailer while elevating your racecar for travel.
